Which Handbag are You?

This is so cute, and I love the illustrations. Gosh! It brought back memories from the 90’s and early 2000’s, when at school lunch breaks all the girls used to huddle up in a group and go through quizzes similar to this, in all the latest girly gossip mags of the time. Oh how I miss the 90’s! Haha

So it turns out I’m the Satchel and I couldn’t agree more! 

I currently own an awesome Fossil Satchel Bag, gifted to me by my favourite friends on my birthday at the start of the year. Its my everyday bag and with all the pockets it offers, there’s a place for everything I need.

I love it and I feel extremely organised with it.

Lace Gown

Lace. Its so beautiful and delicate, it can bring life to a garment - if done right, of course.

The lace design in this illustration is inspired by henna tattoos, purely because I was really in the mood to do some henna tattoos, but unfortunately, I had run out of henna paste. Hence, this embellished gown was born.

Flowers in my hair

Oh my gosh! Flowers, what a beautiful all natural accessory for your hair(style).

Every now and then, I love tucking a beautiful rose behind my ear. 

When the garden is in full bloom, it looks so amazingly beautiful that I can’t help but want to take a part of it with me. 

 Girls (and guys, if thats the way you roll), if there is ever a time you want to look and feel feminine, all you’ve got to do it put some flowers in your hair. They not only look beautiful, but are a great little way to cheer you up. I know they always make me feel good.

Try flowers as accessories for your next look. ;)

A bit about Henna: Colour

Henna paste patterned in a floral design (above) 

Henna stain left on the skin, once the paste has been removed after drying out. (below)

It usually takes a day or two for the colour of the stain to become dark. Initially when the henna paste is removed, it may be pale and almost even matching the colour of your skin (thats usually the case with me). The richness of the colour comes from body heat, so you will find that certain parts of your henna are darker in colour than others. This just means that, that part of your body is hotter (for example the palm of your hand will have a richer colour than say your wrist or arm area).
